Toffee
Ingredients
1 to 1 sugar to butter (1 cup sugar + 1 cup butter)
- Melt butter
- Add sugar to the center of the pot. Avoid letting the sugar hit the pot walls.
- Heat to 300 at sea level or 296 at our house. Stir constantly.
- Onto buttered sheet pour the mixture.
- Top with chocolate, nuts, coconut, etc. if desired
- Dry paper towel can remove excess butter from bottom of toffee after it cools.
- Consider melting chocolate over it. mmmmm
